Stefanie Rose always wanted to be a singer. But wasn't that every little girl's dream, to sing along with the radio and imagine a vast audience beyond the bedposts, all silently hanging upon her every note? Even at the age of eleven she decided that in the interest of not seeming naive she ought to pursue other paths. She took to writing instead.

Stefanie was fourteen when one afternoon while typing she decided that some mood music was in order. Unwittingly, she placed her father's copy of Mozart's Requiem into the disk drive, and went to return to her story. But instead, she turned the speakers up to full volume and sat absolutely still, hearing this music as though for the first time music itself had ever touched her soul. Spurred by this discovery, her life began to change.

Stefanie began her musical journey by joining two church choirs in the fall of 2001, followed by formal voice lessons with operatic soprano Donna Faye Carr in January 2002. An original Demo CD was then produced after an informal discovery in Cuba, where Stefanie sang daily from the rooftop of the hotel down to the guests in the pool.

Stefanie's first website was set up by her father and through it she immediately began to receive international attention. Blessed by a rich and colourful soprano voice, Stefanie has had the opportunity to perform for many venues, including a private Italian wedding reception in Montreal, the Atlantic Music Festival in Halifax, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, and the Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand.

She has studied with Nancy Hermiston and Judith Forst at the University of British Colombia, and taken a course in the Business of Music at Berklee College in Boston. Also having a great talent for writing lyrics, she feels very privileged to have recorded original music with artists from Korea, Canada, the United States, Germany and Thailand.
